Why do people fight in school?

High School... it's a big place, a lot of people, and there tends to be fights. Well I don't understand why when they for one know they're going to get in trouble and for two if you're going to there is other places to go outside of school, fight anyway. Why fight? What's the point in it? Honestly I believe that sometimes people fight because they just want their name to be out there, also because of rumors, which are started by people who like to gossip. If it turns out that its just a rumor, there usually all lies, and then the person, that its about, would probably want to find out who started it then confront them about it. That person doesn't want to talk because their all worked up about so they take a swing at the other person for doing it and it turns out to be one big mess. When you run from a fight, what do you honestly think is going to happen? Obviously the person is going to get you sometime. The person isn't just going to leave you alone. Fighting can also make you look immature. If you're going to be immature about a rumor that you no is a lie, don't do it in school to the point where you're suspended for a week. two weeks. So my answer to my question on why do people fight in school has not really been answered but that's what i think on it.
